The Chemical Garden One: Wither

What will you do if you knew exactly when to die?

In this new world, created by deStefano, the new generation will not age over 25 for men and 20 for women. They will die without having gray hair and wrinkled skin. Modern science had made it possible for humans to counter Cancer and all kinds of tumor. But when this new generation emerged, the first generation were surprised to have their children dying at a young age in this epidemic they called VIRUS.

Rhine was a new generation, having four years left, she doesn't know what to do with her life. when one day, she was captured by men with gray suits. They were kidnapping female teenagers, and forcing them to marry new generation men who are either reaching the cut off age without having a child, or men who are fond of examining the bodies of the new generation in search for an antidote.

she was brought to a wealthy family, and there she became first wife. though luxury was given to her and her husband was ever so loving, Rhine is pushing herself to freedom. with her twin brother not knowing where she is and her father-in-law a mad scientist, she tries to escape the hell she's in, and tries to bring back the freedom she has once lost.

This is a cool story. Describing every detail of modern science, destefano makes her readers visualize a world, without anything natural in it. where seas and sea creatures are only holograms of the real ones, and how every organic food is turned into chemically-produced--that every thing is only a touch of a little natural in it.
I personally love how the world is perceived in the future, but i really didn't like the ending. there's so much questions, and loopholes, making every reader crave for the next book.

The Deepest Water

The death of her father turned her world in turmoil, as she discovers the truth about it. Abby Connors seeks to find who murdered her father, how and why was he murdered.

Abby's father was a writer. A very good writer indeed, and Abby believes his death was somehow related to his last novel-GUILT. It was known that he writes his novels from real characters and begins to fictionalize them into his own.

was the perpetrator really involved in the novel? was there something Abby's father knew that must not be known to any one? why was he really killed?

this is a story of a daughter who seeks justice. will she finally see the mystery ? or will she be caught up in her own murder just as her father?
