Coffeehouse Angel

"Live. How many of us need to be reminded that living has nothing to do with trying to be as good as someone else, or trying to fit into some category, or filling in the blanks on some stupid checklist. That it has nothing to do with punishing yourself for past mistakes."

This is a story of a girl who doesn't exactly know what she most desires, 'til the day she helped a guy sleeping in her alley. it turned out, that this guy, Malcolm, was an angel-- a real angel delivering messages all over. Katrina Svensen, felt nothing less than a crap before she knew Malcolm. all the while she thought, she was not important, that she didn't fill in others' standards on how someone should live their lives. all she knew was that she is a coffeehouse girl, and nothing more than that.

together, Malcolm and Katrina, opened their eyes to how it is to Live and to Love, and there is no bitter ending in life, if you let life get in to you. even the purest creature on earth desires to feel how it is to become human.

Forever

"Suddenly question number four popped into my mind. Have you thought about how this relationship will end?"

Katherine and Michael meant to last forever. they were madly inlove with each other, and promised to make it last.

This is a story of an 18th year old girl and her adventures of love and sex. her first encounter of what it takes to have a commitment. Katherine wants to make her first experience mean something. She does not want to lose her virginity merely for the sake of physical satisfaction or curiosity. She wants her relationship with her boyfriend Michael to have emotions attached to it. Her and Michael's relationship deepens, and finally she relents to his gentle suggestions.

it was as if not a day would end to the both of them. and when they were placed apart, everything changed.

far from Michael, Katherine learned more of what it takes to have a sexual relationship. that is, sex is a commitment and you can never go back to holding hands once you're in it. She matures through the proces of distance and eventually falls in love with someone else. she finally discovers that, when one is young, "forever" doesn't always mean the same as "everlasting".

a beautiful story for girls and boys who are in relationships right now. this might help one another to know what it takes to say yes in a commitment and to take responsibility to what their actions may bring.:)

Mockingjay: Book 3 of the Hunger Games

"this is the door to both sustenance and sanity, and we're each others key"

the last book of the trilogy. after having been escaped from the hilarious quarter quell, Katniss chose to be the mockingjay of Panem's 13 districts.

full of rage and war, this story revolves on how Katniss will balance her need to save all the districts and to choose who to love between Peeta and Gale. how can she be the Mockingjay given the circumstances? will she be able to save Panem from the evil hands of the Capitol? who will she choose? the one who loves her the most and who is will to love her til eternity? or someone who she truly envisions to be with since they became friends and who was always there for her in times of need? the bestfriend or the lover?

hahaha..if i were to choose? i'll choose the bestfriend. a typical handsome guy, who thinks ahead of you. critical, logical, and independent. heheh.. :)

Catching Fire: Book 2 of the Hunger Games

Second book of the The Hunger Games trilogy

"As I drift off, I try to imagine that world, somewhere in the future, with no Games, no Capitol. A place like the meadow in the song I sang to Rue as she died. Where Peeta's child would be safe."

the Capitol is angry, and it wants revenge. after the 74th Hunger Games, for the first time in history, two tributes emerged winners. and the capitol was in no way to approve the decision of the crowd. President Snow, Capitol's President, is now looking forward for its vengeance, and there is now way it will be easy both for Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.

the 75th Hunger Games, is a quarter quell celebration. surprises for the game will be at hand. and for this time, tributes for the game will be chosen form the pool of winners in the past hunger games. and there's nothing left for Peeta and Kaniss to choose who goes again to play.

this story presents a lot of hope to those who are depressed and could not stand to fight. inside an arena were every one is skilled, and willing to kill for survival, Katniss and Peeta manifest their love and passion to fight Capitol. will they emerge winners again?

The Hunger Games

" Learn to fight and survive"

Thirteen districts, one Capitol in a country called Panem. 24 tributes. One game. The Hunger Games.

with her father blown out of the coal mine, Katniss Everdeen carried the burden of keeping her family alive. with the rules imposed by the Capitol, every one was in hunger. and every one was to abide by the rules.

this is a story of a girl who hated the Capitol, and all its rules. she is a rebel in her own district, and will do everything to keep her family away from harm, until the day of the reaping.

this signifies the start of an annual game made by the Capitol to let every district be reminded of how they revolted against it in the past and how powerful Capitol is. a girl and boy from each district are chosen to play the game. they are called tributes. the rule is very simple, that is, to Stay Alive! all twenty four tributes from the twelve districts are being placed in the arena, without knowing what lies ahead of them.

this year's game had been unlucky for Katniss, as her sister was chosen to be one of the tributes for district 12. without wanting to have her sister harmed, she chose to replace her. Katniss Everdeen, the girl tribute. Peeta Mellark, the guy tribute.

all of them will fight for their lives.
death is near their hands.
only one will survive.
and who ever wins the game gains prosperity and power.

--
a new adventure to look forward to. realistic in a sense. i love how the author describes every detail, as if she belongs to that world. it made me see how power can ruin everything, and how LOVE can conquer it all. :)

Just Listen!

"There comes a time in your life, when the world becomes quiet, and the only thing left is your own heart. So, you'd better learn to know the sound of it. Otherwise, you'll never know what it's saying"

Annabel lived an almost perfect life. she had a good family, career and good looks. but one thing was wrong about her. being the youngest in the Greene siblings, she failed to understand what it is to listen to her own heart, until Owen Armstrong, a weird guy she met from school taught her how to do so.

this is a story of friendship and love, of family and relationships. it tells us to listen to our own hearts. and that only way we can truly know our selves is to listen to it. being nice is not always good at all, specially when you tell lies just to become one. always remember that the nosiest place in the whole world is in the center of our being, and calming it dow nrequires silence and listening to it.
